Keeping it Simple


When we started Walczy+Hamilton we had one thing in mind.  If we could keep it simple and we could keep it fun, we could keep it going.  With experience gained from working in large traditional agencies, we copied their time-honored principles of relationship building and applied it to a small hot advertising shop we now call our own. And what did we find out? Well, for one thing, clients weren’t looking for a lot of people or fancy offices.  And they didn’t care much about the advertising process.  But they did want big ideas, and they wanted them fast.  So we give them big ideas and they give us money.  And we all sleep better at night.

James Walczy

Jim began his advertising career in 1964 as a junior copywriter on the Archway Cookie account while still attending Western Michigan University.  After two years as an Army officer (our army), he worked in Public Relations for Washington Gas.  Then it was on to Advertising & PR Director for Kettler Brothers, Creative Director at Harrill & Farr Advertising, and President of Walczy/Brown Design, an Earle Palmer Brown subsidiary.  After a decade plus as CEO of Walczy Design Management, a corporate design consultancy, Jim was COO of Spokany & Company for more than two years before starting his new agency at 8:43 in the morning on November 5, 2001.


Elizabeth Brady Hamilton

Elizabeth’s start in advertising came as an assistant account executive at Weitzman/Livingston.  Advancing to account supervisor, Elizabeth was responsible for the planning and management of the Mobil Oil, Dingo Boots, McDonald’s Recruitment, Hilton Hotels, and Goodwill Industries accounts.  She also headed up the account team for Pizza Hut prior to a seven-year stint at Spokany where she served as Vice President of Account Services.  Now as President of Walczy+Hamilton, Elizabeth oversees the agency’s client services, media planning and buying, and account planning. A graduate of Hood College and London Polytechnic in London, England, she is pursuing her MBA at Johns Hopkins.
